Rethink & Reuse is an independent UK editorial website. We publish practical material for households: a zero waste starter kit of habits, kitchen swaps and plastic free food storage notes, creative upcycling ideas, and guidance on how to reduce household waste room by room. Nothing here is a paid placement, a product listing, or a promise about your bins.
Use of the site
Reading, sharing and fair use
You are welcome to read the site for lawful, personal purposes and to use the guidance it provides. That includes saving a page for later, printing a checklist for your own kitchen, and passing a link to someone who is starting out. What we ask is that you do not interfere with the site or with anyone else's use of it.
In practice, that means no attempts to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its systems, no deliberate overloading, and no automated scraping or bulk copying of content without permission. If you would like to use our material for teaching, a community group, or a school project, write to us first and we will usually say yes.

That applies to text and to the photography on the site, which is owned by or licensed to us unless a caption says otherwise. Selling our guides as a course, an ebook, or a paid workshop is not covered by fair quoting.

Can I republish content from the site?
You can quote short extracts with attribution, but republishing substantial content or using it commercially requires written permission. That includes lifting a full guide onto your own site, translating it, or packaging our zero waste tips for beginners into a paid product.
Is the guidance on the site tailored to my situation?
No. It is general information for UK households. You are responsible for how you apply it, especially where local rules differ — for example what your council collects, or whether a landlord allows a compost bin outdoors.
Do you sell the products mentioned in your guides?
No. We are an editorial website, not a shop, and we do not take payment for placing a brand or a product in an article. When a guide mentions reusable produce bags, beeswax wraps, or a refill shop, it is because the item is widely available and useful in a kitchen — not because anyone paid for the mention. You are free to buy wherever suits you.
What happens if I break these terms?
Most people never need to think about it. In the rare case of scraping, abusive automated traffic, or a request to remove republished material, we will ask you to stop or to take the content down. If that does not resolve it, we may restrict access to the site, and, where it is necessary, address the matter through the courts of England and Wales.
